I just saw a Cambria ad for a Joker XC frame...$600.
Does this mean its the end of the line for the Isis/Joker frame  ?

I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price either, so I bought one, and yep, it came in the mail, so its true! Kind of an expensive test, but well worth it.
The Joker XC 4" travel is like a heavy duty version of the ISIS. So far I really like the way it pedals. I can jump out of the saddle and stomp, using my sprinting muscles and body weight to floor it, and it will rocket forward with minimal pogo effect. Most of it is from the fork up front. I also tried pedaling like a maniac in the small ring, its all good there as well.
I can't wait for summer, so I can ride some roots and rock and stuff. The snow smooths everything out, so suspension is just extra weight for the most part.

Isn't the head angle on the Joker XC small than the regular Isis? I'm speculating but I think the Joker XC was a bit of an experiment...it's not the Isis, not the Joker, but in between, capable of accepting a long travel fork, but still having 4" in the rear. Then again, is the rear adjustable?
Anyway, probably well worth the money for sure!

According to the Ellsworth site specs head tube angle is the same for Joker XC and Isis. The main reason Ellsworth allows the use of longer travel front forks on the Joker XC vs the Isis, is the extra gusseting at the headtube/downtube (technically there is no downtube junction...) junction that allows the higher stresses of longer travel/ dual crown fork usage.
Well I gotta run back to my digital logic class... hope this makes some sense?
Oh, Joker XC is definitly not adjustable travel. There is only one shock mount hole on the front triangle. The other hole appears have been machined away as an after thought (post anodization) which lends some creedence to the rumor I heard: that some of these frames were a result of miss drilled long travel holes...(???) or maybe they just retro-manufactured form existing overstock of standard Joker frames?
