I'm posting what was posted at the DHHawaii.com site by Jordan of Shakabikes. Please follow them otherwise Timberline is History for Mountain Bikers!!!!

Per Jordan:

timberline trail rules
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to an incident today regarding mountain bikers riding up the road to Timberline and not signing waivers at Shaka's, I am posting the Trail Rules. Myself and other mountain bikers have worked hard to get this trail open for trail riding and not following these simple rules could really mess things up for everyone else. Michelle has worked hard to establish a good relationship with the staff and management at Timberline and gained their trust that the following rules won't be broken.
Here are the rules. Please abide by them if you want to keep this trail system open.

Camp Timberline Trails Rules

1.Yield to hikers. When you see a hiker, you must come to a complete stop, pull to the side of the trail and let the hiker pass.

2.Follow all instructions given by park representative.

3.Use caution when over-taking, make your presence known well in advance by calling out RIGHT (if you are passing on the right) or LEFT (if you are passing on the left). This will allow the rider in front of you to move to the appropriate side.

4.Maintain control of your speed at all times.

5.Stay on designated trails.

6.Do not disturb wildlife.

7.No littering.

8.Always be self-sufficient (you are advised to carry a cell phone or radio).

9.Observe the practice of minimum impact cycling.

10.You must always wear a helmet when you ride Timberline property and trail systems.

*11.All riders must sign a release waiver & pay before riding. Available at Shaka Bikes & Boards.

*12.All riders must get a ‘pass’ from Shaka Bikes before entering trail system.

*13.ABSOLUTELY NO RIDING ON THE ACCESS ROAD FROM THE MAIN GATE TO CAMP TIMBERLINE AND FROM THE CAMP TO THE MAIN GATE.

*14.The main gate should be locked at all times, make certain you lock the gate properly after entering and before leaving.

Well I didnt quite get #13 but I'll figure it out when I ride there.
Big UPS to the folks who worked out the details. I was just riding on some posted land and thought why the hell are these folks so against us riding established roads.
I dunno.
I'll pay and I'll ride, once again Props to the folks who worked it out.

Camp Timberline shares a gated private road with homes in the area. I guess Camp Timberline is trying to be a good neighbor by minimizing the impact to their neighbors. Anybody hiking or riding on the road can easily be spotted as someone who doesn't belong there. I'm sure the same rules applies to other non-mountain biker guests of Timberline.
