Yo yo,

I've asked around a little about the older xt brakes (M755's) and people seem to have pretty good things to say about them. I have a few follow up questions though... I'm wondering if anyone's converted theirs to 8" rotor setups. If so, what was involved with getting new adaptors to fit and where? Also will Shimano's work with Avid 8" rotors (are the discs the same width)?

BTW, I will be running these on my Stinky Primo with an '03 Super T. I'm currently using my Avid mechanicals with the Hayes adaptor for the QR20 setup to get the proper spacing with my Avid caliper. It works perfectly and I'm wondering if that same Hayes QR20 adaptor will work for the Shimano caliper? Ultimately, I'll put the Avid's back on my Bear so I'd like to have a Hydraulic setup on my Stinky Primo.
