I’ve read this review about tomac eli bike:
“The frame’s seatmast/shock cradle is so wide that it takes a bowlegged cowboy not to notice it. Non-horse people were irritated when their legs came into contact with the frame on every rotation.” mbaction.com

I would like to know if the shock cradle might rub some riders legs.
I wonder that Tomac Revolver might incur in the same problem.

I do appreciate your comments.

Well, finally something I know something about. I rode a ML sized Eli from 10/04 until last weekend. I was never absolutely thrilled with it, but I never understood that MBA review either. The shock cradle area never was a problem, I don't see how anyone's leg could ever touch it, mine never did. Not even close. I don't think my technique is different than anyone else's. (6'0", 175 lbs)

It does have a few problems though, and the crossmax and xt parts are being moved to a 20 inch '05 Truth, ano gray. Hope I like that.

The good about Eli; rider position, upright, looking down the trail, and cornering, great. Confidence inspiring. Never felt I was getting full 5 inch travel, though, and hard to dial in. Not plush, you'd not use that word to describe it. Overly complex design. But I got good parts to put on a new bike and I became a better rider. I'm putting Fox suspension on the new bike, by the way.

If you get one, good luck with it, sincerely. It's got good points. I liked the 98 Special better, Bob and all. Four inches of travel is enough, if you get it all.

I rode one last year for about six months until I broke it. I never had a leg rub issue with the cradle. The bike rode well, but it wasn't as plush as the other all mountain designs out there.I know Tomac had a lot of issues with thier 04 stuff so I wouldn't buy last years model. The frame they sent me for warranty replacement was an 05 and it was buildt stronger. But I do know Tomacs are not being buildt at all right now so you might look at something else. I sold the frame they gave me and replaced it with a Yeti 575.
