Specs are as follows:

One Niner frame [Tang color] with eccentric BB.

American Classic wheelset [singlespeed].

Rockshox Reba fork set at 100mm with remote poplock.

Avid Juicy Seven hydro disc brakes.

On One Mary bar.

Ritchey 90mm WCS stem.

Chris King Headset [mango color].

FSA Mega Exo Carbon crankset.

DMR Magnesium platform pedals.

Shimano 9 speed chain.

Chris King rear cog, 20 tooth. [Still waiting for Boone cogs].

ODI Rogue Lock-on grips.

Minoura bidon cage.

Brooks Ti railed Champion Special leather saddle.

Thomson Elite seatpost.

Spot Bashring.

Blackspire 32 tooth SS Mono Veloce chainring.

Salsa Lightweight 29'er tubes and velox rimstrips.

WTB Nanoraptor 2.1 tyres.

My only problems so far with this whole build has been the Avid front disc brake. The front disc SCREAMS whenever I use it. I tried changing the rotor to a Hayes but that didn't cure the squeels. I guess that I will have to try some new pads next.

I'm very happy with the rest of the bike though. This One Niner is very fast. The bike is lovely to ride, super responsive and handles very well. It feels light and flicky through the trees.

The Nano's are very fast tyres and just add to the 29'ers already fast speed over the ground.

I'm still experimenting with cockpit setup, as well as handlebars, stems and seats etc..

Everywhere I go this bike attracts attention. Pics don't do it justice, really. I have had to lock it up to stop my sons from getting their grubby hands on it..lol.. :)

One of them picked it up and nearly hit himself in the chin with the top bar because he didn't expect it to be so light... :)

I just hope that I can keep up to the pace this bike demands.. :)

Here are some [lousy] pics.

Rainman- Beautiful bike! I think the mango looks great and is probably just amazing in person. One thing about the brake, either pick up or have Avid send you one of their round rotors. I had the same problem, even tried a Hayes and Stans aluminum (for the the hell of it) rotor as well. It seems like the interface btw their pads and those wavys isn't the best but once I installed their round rotor (probably the same as BB7) no more problems.

The mango headset is sooooooo cool. I hope you get that brake to quiet down soon.

I love the Brooks saddle and it's good to see I'm not the only one who used the On One Mary bar (I'm sure there'll be more)

I installed Avid mechanical discs on my Niner and they are dead quiet but I have the same brakes on my FS bike and the rear has always given me noise troubles. I do think the set up with these Avids is very important and getting the caliper lined up right does a lot to reduce the noise.

Good luck with the brakes and the Niner :)

Hey Rainman, good looking build!!

Just curious about what your frame size is and your height. I'm thinking I ordered too big (medium) and looking for some data to confirm my suspicions. I'm 5'10" with a little bit longer torso than average.

I'm a short-arse... errr, I mean... I'm vertically challenged and ride a small frame.

As the top bar rises very quickly on the One Niner, anyone under 5-6 tall like me is going to be ok on the small frame, but at 5-10 you should be fine on the medium, unless you have very short legs.. :)

I'm built like a garden gnome...short, stocky, short legs.. :)

I'm just shy of 6' also with a long torso and I got the large and couldn't be happier. I'm using a 110mm stem in the neg 6 degree postion with no spacers under it and a Mary bar (my back is so happy!). I would stick with the med.
