i first heard about ibex bikes from a friend this spring when he was in the market for a new bike. from what i have seen from the bike my friend got ( 04 trophy) and the research i had done on my new purchase as well as for another buddy looking to get into riding, you get more bang for the buck from ibex. the 05 apogee sport ran me a little over $1000 delivered. most other bikes that i was looking at that were comparable were at least $1500. so far i have been very please with the service from ibex. i ordered the bike yesterday at 3:15, and by 4:00 i have an e-mail telling me the bike shipped. it is due to arrive tomorrow. :D i can't wait. assuming the weather behaves, i will get to ride it this weekend. once i get it put together, i will post some pictures. i am really looking forward to riding a fs, my current bike is a 99 k2 zed v.

it arrived yesterday, and i put it together last night. my first impression is that i am really happy with it. for me the most important things that i wanted when i was looking for a new bike were mechanical disk breaks, fully adjustable front the rear shocks. the apogee has all that. i also like the way that i can alsmost lock out the rear shock. i took a little cruise around the neighborhood last night, and i am happy with the bike so far. i plan on riding saturday and sunday on the trail, so at that point i will have a beter feal for the bike. from what i have read and seen, i can't beet the price of $1000 for what i got. :D
