Does anyone out there use Google Earth pay version and a gps. Just wondering if it works as far as downloading your tracks and weather you can convert to jpeg and show on the web. I have mapsend topo but cant seem to figure out how to post on the web, plus Google Earth is bad ass,

Yes, I've used it. You can download tracks and convert to a .jpeg. BUT, I'm not impressed with it as mapping software. Right now I see a couple of major deficiencies:
1. Topo maps are not available
2. Waypoint management is weak.
For show and tell, and the wow factor, it's great. But check out TopoFusion too. First of all, it automatically links digital photos to where you shot them along your track. Second, one click can generate an HTML web map for a clickable display of the track and clickable photos, that allows you to toggle between aerial photos and topos. Those are just a couple of cool features. There's a chapter on it in my book. Frankly, the boys at Google have a ways to go. Lots of flash and show. If you want functionlity though...
