What would you get as far as reliability and strength? I'm 220 lbs. They both look cool. The haro has full XT, the Specialized has mainly their own group, (Specialized). I found the Haro for $1699.00 and the Specialized for $1399.00. What to do?.......Justin :D

im tempted to say haro. that is a nice bike and xt stuff plain rocks. so i owuld go for it. the slighlty more money for the haro shows that it is better components if not better frame. GO HARO
plus my shop sells them but we dont stock the mountain bikes, as we carry tomac garyfisher klein and ROCKY.

I ride an '02 Enduro. I would HIGHLY recommend it. I don't know much about the Haro but I do know the Enduro is a great Bike. The itch switch on the Fox float rear shock is very nice. Makes a great climbing in the 4" mode and flip the switch for decending in the 5.2" mode.
<P> It is nice to a have a very adaptable XC/trail bike. You can really fine tune this bike to your riding style with the flippable shock link. You can ride it in a Slacker head angle with a lower BB and carve the trails. Or you can flip you link and ride it in the 70.5 and higher BB for a slightly quicker steering with a higher BB for better clearance crossing log piles and rocks.
Specialized Customer service is very good too.
You will not be disapopinted with the Specialized. You can swap out some of the specialized brand name stuff like the handlebars etc. with some of the money you save and then sell it on Ebay before you use it and recoup some of your money.

and it's been great. I'm 190 plus lots of gear. Ride the North Shore in Vancouver, but bought it as a trail bike.

You should know Supergo cleared them at $1199, I got mine in Everett WA for $1049 plus 8.3% sales tax. (Bicycle Shop of Everett WA)

Your shop may need more to pay the rent, I dunno.

I like my '03 Enduro a lot. IIRC, it came with XT rear der, Derore front der, Deore casette, a Spec. crankset, and Hayes disks. The Marzocchi MX fork on the base model Enduro is great. It rides like a champ. Don't know about the Haro. The new Mountain Bike Action mag has a review of the downhill Haro. They liked it a lot.

I'd go Enduro all the way to the bank. The extra money will be nice, and the Enduro frameset is awesome (well for the $). You'll have a nice bike and you can always fix things as they break. Even the base Enduro packs alot of technology into the frame and suspension.

I'm very happy with my '04 Expert. Obviously... :D
