Apparently, this is the new direction that k2 is leaning toward in the near future. It seems that there is going to be a new race series that is part xc, part street. Something about singletrack and staircases!? This pic is of k2's first offering for that type of riding; the Zed crosshairs team. It is a prototype, so it's a little rough. Look for this thing to take off in 06'!

K2 needs to come back with the Monkey series of bikes, but with better components. There's a much larger market for agressive hardtail bikes now than there was several years ago.

The monkey series was originally just a ZED frame with disk tabs and a cool paintjob....

that above bike is not an 06 product......

when will they be comming out? im about to buy a zed 4.0 but shoud i wait for the new ones?
