I went on a short ride on Saturday. Everything I rode was pretty dry, but I did see people climbing back out to the park 'n' ride who were covered in mud. I stayed on the north side of the river for the most part.

Also, forgive me, I don't know the names of the trails out there mostly because I've been riding that area for more than ten years. My friends and I made up names for all the trails and I have yet to learn them proper.

I started out at the park and ride, down to the small parking lot then climbed the fire road. Went down the gravel path that leads to the short climb to the power lines and then back down and across the gravel path on the trail that leads back down to the river (I think it's an extended portion of the vineland trail. Rode down the paved path to the dam, up to the Ilchester climbing rock and then a hard right over a log pile and onto a trail that dumps you back to the paved path. We then rode (walked) across the bridge and did a small loop up around the waterfall.

I went hiking out at Schaefer yesterday with my girlfriend to check out the conditions and was expecting a closed gate. Drevil passed us as we started our walk. I'm sure I saw other MTBRers but I wouldn't recognize too many others.

The Belmont/farm section over near Landing is (as expected) a mud bog. That's where the muddy riders were probably riding. I did pretty much everything else on the Ho Co side and it's all dry except for a few sporatic few mud holes.

Keep up w/ the latest conditions on the MORE forums (http://www.more-mtb.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=11).

Give me a holler next time. Hopefully you weren't the couple I bowled over! (Just kidding!) If you saw the flamer on the white On-One, that was the IconoclaSSt, and the guy on the black gearie and inked up arms was Tryandstopme.

Did you see the ol' man Richard riding the fixie black Gunnar Ruffian, with NO brakes? Hopping logs and tearing it up. That guy's at least 55+ and he's acting like a careless 20 year old. I want to be like him in 30 years. :)

I saw Richard out there practically every time I rode last year. That guy rocks. My GF and I try to hook up there on Wednesday evenings once there is light enough to do so. Next time I see you guys, I'll shout.
