that's cool. i wonder if they are still going to be based in sonoma county and if it's going to be some of the same crew.

I'm just a fan. I happened to see the thread over in the singlespeed forum and figured some people over here may have some interest since they were a local company.

I was at a local playground (Emma Prusch aka "Big Blue Ball" Park) last year and saw a dude with an Ibis cap, so I asked if he owned one..
The guy (Hans Heim) said no, but he had obtained rights to the name and planned on bringing it back from the dead. I came away from the conversation impressed with his knowledge and attitude. Seems he really respects the brand's heritage but also said he felt that in the not-too-distant future that most riders would be on 5-inch travel rigs.
He apparently did a lot of work on the SC VPP rigs, so I'd be curious to see what he cooks up.
At the time, he wasn't sure how much Scot Nicol would be involved, but again, this was at least a year ago.
