I picked-up newly powdercoated late 90's Mojo with NOS decals on it...love it. I remember that Ibis clear coated over the decals, is this correct? I plan to ride this bike until I'm dead and want to make sure the decals stay presentable long into the future. If they were meant to be clear coated any advice on how to go about talking to a paint shop would be appreciated, I don't want them to bubble or peel. I'm in Austin.

It's an 18.5" to top of seat tube...nicely frankensteined by Sycip supposedly for discs.

You got it off ebay, right? I had my eye on that one...

I have a 93 Mojo which has clear coat over the decals, a '00 mojo with no clear coat over the decals, and an 01 Sonoma with no clear coat over the decals. A friend has a 98 Alibi which I believe does have clear, but I'll have to ask her after she gets back from the Ride the Rockies...

Yeah, ebay. I'd been looking for a classic steel hardtail but held back since I love discs, then this little frame showed up all dressed up from Sycip. Looks like Ibis stopped clear coating at some time in the last 90s, the friend I sold my Spanky to confirmed that the decals are cleared over, this is from about 1998...man I loved that road bike.

I'll post some pics soon.
