Would it be bad luck to start counting down the days till it gets here? I'm a bit psyched. :D Hopefully all goes well and they start shipping on the 15th.

I'm a bit psyched. :D Hopefully all goes well and they start shipping on the 15th. 14 days (give or take) P-Funk 06-01-2005, 10:41 PM I hate to rain on your parade but Chris from Niner had told me that the expected delivery date is July. You must post pics the second you get it. Locust 06-02-2005, 05:37 AM The email I got in April said parts and frames are expected to arrive around June 15th. I've asked a couple of times in some follow ups but didn't get an answer. I'm not sweating it, that just gives me more time to save money for it. Riding weather here in S.A. is better in June than July, but just barely, so I was hoping. The brown Santa dropped off my first digi. cam. last night , so I'm ready to take pics. I''ve been wanting one, but the build up of this bike was one of the reasons I bought one. Is that a sign of addiction? brewdog 06-02-2005, 08:00 AM I'll leave it up to someone else to find out because the last thing Niner needs is 30 e-mails about delivary/ship date. Someone, anyone, please post up any info you receive...hope it's not July... Niner Bikes 06-02-2005, 09:34 AM Yes it's true. We have run into a production delay. I was hoping this would not happen to us as we are a new company and would like to get off to a proper start. I apologize to those that are waiting, I know how that feels. I will keep you posted if we run into any more delays. We are still waiting on the final word but July 25th looks like when we will deliver frames and parts to those that have pre-ordered. We have a Hot Tamale frame coming in next week and I will post pictures of it. Thank you all for your emails and calls about our frame. We at Niner are striving to offer you the best of what 29er's bikes have to give. onepivot 06-02-2005, 10:08 AM ..............but I also will be biding my time by gathering the needed parts and dreaming of the day the frame & parts arrive. It will be fun to see all the pics of newly built Niners as they come to life :) Russ 1strongone1 06-02-2005, 02:22 PM I can't f"ing believe it. I was getting so anxious for my bike to arrive. This means that I won't get my bike built until the beginning of August, thats most of the biking season shot to hell. If I would have know that it would be this long, I could have ordered from a custom builder. Now it will take just as long with a custom builder, so I am screwed any way you look at it. Sorry for the rant but I am so pissed right now. I sold my race bike to fund this project and have all the new parts just waiting. Looks like they will be waiting for a long while. Any custom builders out there with shorter lead times than Niner? onepivot 06-02-2005, 02:40 PM I can't f"ing believe it. I was getting so anxious for my bike to arrive. Nothing against Niner at all, but with a new company I was prepared for a delay for a variety of reasons. It doesn't make the wait any easier but there are lots of potential problems when bringing a new bike to production. I too am waiting and I sold my singlespeed to fund the Niner, so I am left with only my 26" geary to ride and my SS 29er jones is really strong right now!!! Besides, I remember the delays that went with getting the Rig to market several months ago. I just hope that the delay isn't increased further. Cut 'em some slack for now and let's see what happens :) Russ 29Inches 06-02-2005, 02:40 PM Yes it's true. We have run into a production delay. Can't seem to part with my GF RIG but a nice geared HT would be nice to add to the stable Locust 07-01-2005, 05:48 AM Would it be bad luck to start counting down the days till it gets here? This gives me 25 days(give or take) to learn how to post photos. |
