I posted this before but didn't receive too many responses. I'm trying to gain insights into places to stay for the 24 hour race at Seven Springs over Labor Day weekend. We'll have a five person team and do not want to camp. I've rented houses in the past at Canaan and Snowshoe but don't know who to contact for similar lodging at Seven Springs. I want to get moving on getting logistics pinned down so any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. . . Kirk Out.

A couple of years back. Semi-convient if you have transportation back-and-forth to the start. We had no issues parking, but the race is getting more and more crowded. I got a condo which was as close as possible (as the crow flies) to the start, and it was < 1 mostly flat mile to the start area. During the day I would ride my bike. At night we had someone drive us (although one guy rode to the start at night as well).
There's also a lodge (where the central check in is) about a mile down the road. I would think you would have to have transporation for sure if you stayed there.
It's a great course. Good luck!
Dave
P.S. The condo fees are REALLY expensive.

Do you remember the realty company you worked with or do you have a point of contact I can call? I'd like to get the housing thing taken care of early on so I don't need to worry about it. There will probably be five of us on the team so we may need more than one condo. Thanks.

I think 7-springs handles all of the condo stuff.

I also think 7-Springs handles them.
We had a condo last year that had three bedrooms. The main condo had 1 bedroom, a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, living room (with a fold-out couch, outside patio, and laundry facilities. There was a second section that had two more bedrooms and a second bathroom. I think you could have rented it with or without the second section. It was fully furnished - - pots, pans, sheets, dishes, glasses, 2 TV's, etc. It made a huge difference for us having a warm shower, clean bathroom, and the ability to wash and dry clothes. I think it was about $800, but you can save $100 if you are sure you can leave by noon. It costs a bit more because it is a holiday weekend. We could have got out by noon and only paid for Friday and Saturday night, but you never know and the extra $20 per person seemed like cheap insurance. It also lets your last rider get cleaned up and not drive home five hours dirty and miserable. It was located about 3/4 of a mile from the start, but we did shuttle our riders back and forth. I highly recommend it.

Hey MightySchmoePong and Manicmtbr,
Thanks for your help. I booked a condo and it looks like we're good to go for a place to stay for the race. According to the marketing folks, the race is for sure on Labor Day weekend. Aside from the entrance fee and training (the hard part), it looks like I'll have a team for the race. Thanks again for your help.

there is a town about 10 minutes from the resort called somerset, pa. You could stay there and drive in, it's pretty small place i'm sure you could stay dirt cheap, also theres a state park close by that may offer cabins for rent, don't know for sure though.
