XC Endurance Platform Shoe Which one it the best pedaling?
After a couple years on clipless pedals I am ready to go back to platforms. Riding just wasn't as fun and fun is why I ride.

I am looking for a good platform shoe with a stiff shank for power transfer for pedaling efficiency. A typical ride for me is 20 miles with about 2500' to 4000' ascent.

I am looking at Teva Links and Pinner, 5.10 freeride, and the 5.10 spd's without removing the spd cover on the sole.

I am open to any suggestions. I want to stick to my pedals, but I want some support so my feet don't fatigue so badly after 2 hours.

Headed to Fruita this weekend so any help would be appreciated!

I did about 3 hours of research and searching the forums and didn't find anything that specifically addressed pedaling efficiency. I went ahead and went with the Teva Links. This was based on weight, breathability, and several descriptions of the soles being pretty stiff. It was a tough call as the Five Tens are undoubtedly awesome, but I got a great deal with free 2 day shipping.

I will try these out at Fruita this weekend and give a report back.

i just picked up a pair of the 510 impacts after much the same deliberation. i also arrived at my choice due to a sale/shipping prices. they are definitely stiff, yet comfortable. i think i read in a mag recently that the tevas are the first shoe co-designed with a pedal maker (crank bros?), so I'm sure they will be legit. let us know how they treat you
