depends on what sorta weather you are looking to ride in. Ive got these, mainly for commuting

wind front tights are nice for colder exposed stuff, ive got a pair similar to these

but for the most part i just wear regular lycra riding tights something similar to this

    Wool

Kucharik (link under the rescources tab) makes some fantastic Wool jerseys and tights, a layer of wool underneath and a shell on top does well in Big bear. If you need more add another layer of wool under the shell.

    thanks!

not gonna get too cold, I live in the southeast U.S....probably won't get any colder than the low teens, but doubtful I'll be riding with it that cold.

I use UA base with a pair of lined tights, then wind proof outer layer and it functions for anything i have come across in Utah (low single digits many times)

I lost my set of similar units, but these things (teamed with overbooties) are Godlike:

Seriousky, I don't ride in EXTREME cold, but I ride in -10C weather (trail) without gloves when I had my pogies. Reminds me I need to get a new set.
