Who makes a short (suitable for downhill) in a manly 40-42" waist size?

I've been searching for a pair of shorts that would be suitable for downhill riding but the popular ones (Fox, One, TLD) max at 38" waist sizes. I comfortably wear 40-42" shorts & I would prefer something in a moto style but something else that's very durable I will also consider.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

I wore a pair of Nema DH shorts at my biggest in a 38 and they ran a bit big. Its hard for me to say exactly what size I wear since some of my pants are 40 and some are 36 and they all fit. I think the XXL Nema Podium or Revolver shorts would work and they are adjustable in the waist. I have both and they are very comfortable and tough as nails.

Thanks for your input! I was trying to do some net research and I saw another guy recommend the Nema stuff.
As far as sizing goes, I got some Fox ranger shorts in 40 & the outers fit around the waist but feel too tight in the as$ for me.

I was not a fan of the Ranger short as I like more length. From my experience a trail short and a DH short are going to fit differently as the DH short will be a bit more roomy. I think the XXL should be a 40-42 waist. I think Royal makes some XXL shorts but only have had the Turbulence shorts which I did not like due to the waterproof rear which gave me swamp a$$ in the worst way.

I'll stay away from the Turbulence. I thought I'd try to get some input before spending $80-$120 on another pair of shorts. Thanks again!

+1 on the NEMAs, they worked for me. And thanks to a couple wash/dry cycles, have shrunk right along with me.
Azonic had some that fit as well. The Mavic shorts in XL are actually big, but not real DH style. Sugoi makes larger shorts, as Sombrio does as well. Right now, I keep the NEMA for DH and cold days, and the Mavics are my go to trail shorts.
