    Warm-weather shoes for flat pedals

Its starting to warm up a bit (70s) and the Five10 Freeriders I got for X-mas are feeling a bit hot and stuffy, likely because of all the padding and whatnot. Anyone know of a sticky soled shoe that's good for the summer? The Freeriders don't breath anywhere as well as my clipless shoes, but there are some trails that are a bit too technical for me to feel confident going clipless.

I recently purchased a pair of specialized bg Tahoe shoes. They are comfortable and seem to breathe well. I am also happy with how they hook up to my spank spike pedals.

The Freerider VXi might be a bit more ventilated I think. They have mesh toe covers among other things.

A much cheaper tip however is to try a pair of very thin socks.

I bought a pair of "sock guy" socks that are pretty thin & my feet felt much better in my 5.10 impacts than they did wearing regular Hanes socks.

Worth a shot before dropping coin on new shoes.
