    Totally cool new helmet light.

I bought a blinking pet collar for my dog a few weeks back. WOW! It is bright! One night last week I had the idea to attach the collar to my bike helmet. After a few minutes, I saw it would be simple to modify the blinking dog collar to fit and work on my bike helmet permanently. The collar is called the SeeSpot Blinking Dog Collar, and you can Google it to see what it looks like. I cut one end of the collar off, and attached sticky Velcro to my helmet. The Velcro on the collar matched up with the helmet and PRESTO! I don't know if other collars will perform the same, these guys have just patented the technology to make it so bright. The collar was only $19, so for quality cycling gear...it's not bad. I've used the new helmet light for several rides and loads of people have asked me about it. It really works Great!! It is visible from both sides as well as from the rear.

How about a shot of it lit up? I may have to get a couple of those: one for the helmet, one for the dog...

The photo came out kind of crazy due to dark conditions with a very bright light.
