    Toe protection shoes

I broke a toe a month back but I'm still able to bike ride. I am looking for a more protective toe , my current shoe is one of the lower priced Sidis w/3 straps. I was thinking it would be rad to add a bumper myself, but I don't think there's a cheap way to do it in a durable way.

A few years ago specialized shoes had a thick bumper, but it appears that all shoes are just road shoes with a studded outsole glued on.

Shimano AM45, or any of the more dh oriented shoes.
