    Teva the Links. Everyday shoe?

    Hello,
I am looking on buying a pair of Teva the Links.
I would like to use them, apart from mountain biking, as an everyday shoe too.
Are they comfortable or flexible enough to be used as an everyday shoe?
    Thanks in advance!!

The sole is stiffer than a skate shoe, but they are very comfortable. Should be fine for an everyday shoe.

I just bought a pair of the Teva Pinners which are advertised as the Links "minus the extra armoring, heel-centering fit or water management coating". I bought them to be commuting shoes, good for work and biking, and they have been just fine for general wear so far. I would anticipate that the links do just fine, but I admit that I haven't worn them... just their baby brothers.

Re: Teva the Links. Everyday shoe?

I wear my links everyday. Nothing beats sliding then on after a long day on my feet in leather pointy toe ****ing things.

And then jumping straight into the bike for a Blast.

    I love the stiffer soles

    How Sticky is the sole?

I just got my Links delivered. I was surprised that to the touch the sole doesn't feel as sticky or grippy as my Teva hiking shoes. Even on the platform side of my current pedal which only has cleats and not pins it doesn't feel sticky.

So...how does the Link grip on rocks for hike-a-bike? Is the sole only grippy on pins?

    Thanks!

i've found them great on rough rock like granite. definately a massive improvement over skate style shoes in loose dirt and smooth rock. I don't really ride in the mud so not really sure about that side.

I tried the Teva Crank, and wasn't impressed with the really thin sole. I now wear the Pinners all day long with no problems. I normally commute by bike and sneak out for a lunch ride on the dirt 2-3 times per week. I will probably buy another pair when these wear out.

I wear mine as a casual shoe pretty regularly and they're pretty comfortable. They also grip pretty well on hike-a-bike sections.
