    Re: Specialized Prevail

I use a 2012 Specialized S3 helmet for both road and mtb. It was cheaper and just as nice as the '12 Prevail. I love it, especially in the warmer months, as it's light and breathes really well.

I have the Pompero II, which I believe is identical to the S-Works Prevail, minus the Kevlar construction (I.e. weight). I find the straps and fit very comfortable, and it has really good ventilation. It's also pretty good looking for a helmet...

I used to always pull my helmet off when I stopped, now I find that I have to remind myself that I might be more comfortable with it off... So I'd say that's pretty good praise.

I would also say propero 2, its almost identical with the prevail, and half the price.

    Loved this helmet.

    Specialized Prevail

Yes, loving the light weight. To the disgust of my LBS I slipped a specialized peak on it. Works a treat.

I have a Prevail, among other nice helmets, and it's my go to lid. It's NOT the same as a Propero 2. The Prevail has inmolded straps, which is a big upgrade. It is also lighter, more vented, and has a different retension band. It's super light too.
