    Sidi shoes in Australia?

    Hey there,

I'm looking for any shops in sydney that sell and have stock(to try on) of Sidi shoes.

Theres lots of shops that can get them in, but very few with alot of stock to try on. So any help will be great.

    Thanks

On the Sidi Australia site they list Bike Addiction, the Brookevale Bike Factory and Bike Barn as being platinum dealers which I assume means they have a decent level of stock to try on. Have a look at www.sidi.com.au for other dealers in the metro area.

The list may be a bit out of date however as I bought a pair from Spoken here in Melbourne and thay aren't even listed on the website even though they have a bus load of stock at most times.

Richard Ayling is the Victorian rep. I've momentarily forgot the name of the importer, but remind me by dropping me an e-mail (info@thylacinecycles.com) and I'll give you more info when I get back into the office.

Hey Ivan, I'm not really sure the Dominators are even sold here! According to the website I thiknk the 'replacement' is called the eagle 5.

The aussie range is alot smaller by the looks of it.

I really only wanted to find a store that sold them to try them on(as cheap as it may sound...). And then buy overseas. I hear rumors of the shoes around the dominator range costing more then 400, but don't quote me on that

Do you know if larry sells Sidi??

The Dominators aren't available - just the Dragons and the Eagles. If you guys find a place to try them on but don't fancy paying full wack, drop me an e-mail and I'll see if I can't save you some pennies.

I got some Sidi Dom 4 MEGA last year from ebay in the USA. They did sell for around $400 here and by memory they cost me about $240 posted. Still a lot of money, but definitely worth it. The most comfortable shoes for my beach bat style feet. Most people in OZ know jack about the sidi range.. one guy here told me the megas were for like size 11US +. Wot a jackass! The megas are for people with wider feet and the narrows amazingly enuf, for narrow feet....

I normally wear a size 8.5US in a nike, adidas, asics running shoe and found the Sidi 43 fit me well. I could probably have got away with a 42.5, but a little extra room without being too big is fine. Hope that helps.

The Dom 5's are basically the same I believe as the 4s

This might not be up to date but last time I looked the oz dist. didn't import the half sizes.

    I take a half size.

This is not uncommon in Australia, I think DMT are the same.

    Its not really good enough.
