Shoes for flats on the cheap

Hey all! 2nd year mountain biking and as I'm getting more skilled I'm enjoying the sport more and more and wanting to up my game a bit. Accordingly - I need to toss the running shoes I'm wearing and get something a bit more stable and grippy to compliment the MG-1 flats I just ordered. Thing is - I just can't spend $100 or more. I'd actually like to spend half of that if not less. Question is - is there a decent option out there that will give me what I'm looking for this budget rate? I really don't care if they don't hold up for multiple seasons, I just want something to get me through this summer and after I'm moved into the new house I'm building and recover financially - maybe I'll look at something nicer Any suggestions?

I got my 5-10s for ~$60. If you look around you can find them for fairly cheap. Love mine. Money well spent if you have a good set of pedals already.

Teva Links or Pinners could also be had for around your budget.

I've been using Enties RVM's that have a really soft sole and have tons of grip. I'm thinking of trying some of the Vans OTW shoes since I've heard people have had luck with them.

Just scored some 5.10 dirtbag mids for $32. Pretty happy thus far with my purchase.
