    Shoe suggestions

I'm just getting into the mountain biking because of my dad's influence. anyway i was hoping i could get some veteran insight on the best shoes for this. i have a cannondale trail 29er and my regular nike frees surprisingly dont stay on the pedals so well.

Five Ten's and some decent platform pedals. If you want to spend a bit less, some Van's or similar skate shoe will work as well but I've found they don't hold up quite as well as Five Ten's. I've got 3 years of pretty heavy use on my Five Ten's and they're just now starting to show some wear but will likely get me through the season. Worth every penny!

I ride in Timberland boots, I like a higher cut shoe because of how often I get stuck in mud and creeks. and most sneakers don't keep your feet dry.
