Shimano AM 45 cleat contact area

Long story short, I recently purchased a pair of Five Ten Maltese Falcons to run with my M530 pedals with the alloy platform, much like the XT and XTR pedals. On top of being a hair too small, the shoe moves around on the cleat interface of the pedal. I do not like this and don't watch to switch to CBs Mallets.

I was wondering if anyone runs the AM45 shoes with the 530s or xt/xtr pedals. If so, do you feel the shoe move around on the cleat? or is there positive contact between the sole of the shoe and the alloy platform around the pedal?

I run m530/ am45s on one of my bikes, but Im not sure what youre asking. There is positive contact on the platform, but you can still rotate your foot a little bit if you want to. You can definitely feel the difference the mini platform makes vs a m520/540 type pedal, but its never gonna feel like a mallet/ dx style pedal.
