New question here. Roach FR Leg Armor sizing

I cant decide between the medium or the large. The sizing chart at RF has the cutoff between medium and large at 5'8" which is how tall I am. Should I be worried that the medium might be too tight and the large might be too loose? Any suggestions?

I'm 6' 1 or 2 right now and I have the large FR pads and they're a bit too small for me. I didnt go for XL because I'm skinny and didnt want to get XL and have them eat my calves. I'd go large and play it safe. They might be a tiny bit too big but you wouldnt want them to be too small.

I'd go with the large. If your legs aren't terribly skinny, they should fit pretty well. As for length, the last 2 inches or so are of soft foam (on the FR version), so being a little long won't matter much. It will just sort of compress behind the tongue of your shoe, not uncomfortable at all. If it is, then you could just trim it with a pair of scissors.

Use the SEARCH function--this has been talked about A LOT.

Do not go by your height--it's meaninless. Unless you have big, muscular legs, go with the Mediums (and even then the thigh straps may be too big). I'm 6' and have skinny legs and the Mediums work (the thigh straps, once streched in, are going to be a bit big on me).

Does anyone have a pair of XL....

if so, I would like to know how long are the straps? I bought a pair of the larges and can hardly get the straps back around to the velcro,TIGHT. I'm 5'10", by their sizing, the large should fit.

    Thanks

I was about to get a pair of XL's

and so I went to a local shop to try them on, IMPORTANT NOTE: the straps on the large and Extra Large are the same length!

the pad is longer to go farther down the shin, but if you read the rest of the posts you "kinda" get the just of it.

so, if you are wondering, the large and extra large have the same length straps (sucks for us guys with "tree-trunk" calfs and leggs)

If the larges fit around my legs then you shouldnt have any problem with them being too big for you, trust me

All sizes have the same knee cup. I think this is also true for their elbow pads.

The L and XL are the same total length and have the same padding, but the plastic shin guard on the XL is a couple cm longer. I think it's the same for the S and M.
