POC Spine protector opinion

Hey guys I'm trying to decide between the following spine protectors:

Spine VPD 2.0 Vest
Spine VPD 2.0 Vest - POC Sports - POC Sports

and the

Spine VPD Vest
Spine VPD Vest - POC Sports - POC Sports

is the 2.0 simply the replacement? Pros / Cons of each? Any thoughts on sizing?

2.0 is the new one, sizing was right for my vpd jacket 2.0 and knees so I would think that their published sizing is darn close.

Oh edit, the2.0 is in the snow category and may be a lot warmer to wear than the other one.
