Padded shorts without an internal liner ?

I'd like to find a set of riding shorts with padding stitched directly into the back of the shorts, instead of having an inner liner/mesh that grips tightly around the legs and groin. I don't wear lycra shorts and don't like a mesh with elastic bands that come with '2 in 1' style shorts.

Can anyone suggest some good (cheap ?) baggy mtn bike shorts with padding in the right places, but no annoying inner liner ?

Thanks for any help, much appreciated.

    cheap, you say?

The ultimate cheap mt. bike shorts:

Find a stretchy pair of wicking shorts. Walmart has them.

Then you cut apart a beer coozy. (remove the bottom...
then cut the remaining cylinder into a sheet)
Trim it into an ergonomic taint shape.

Sew this into the crotch of the shorts. Done.
