Ok, so I tried out this combination on a 10hr hillclimb/descent. Halfway up the hill, I took the padded liner off from over my compression wear. The compression wear does a great job keeping you cool and your legs breathing, and I think the liner inhibited this. So my legs felt better, but my backside got sore because of the lack of padding afterwards.
I think the next upgrade for me will be a softer saddle
