New question here. Opinion/experiance Alpinestars mtb apparel

I found a pair of Alpinestars Gravity shorts in Whistler last summer and bought them on a whim because I was impressed with the quality. So far they have been fantastic.

Any experience with other gear (especially gloves)? Can't find anywhere to try on other gear, and the prices at hucknroll are enticing.

I have a set of knee/shins (Moab), a jersey, and two pairs of the Gravity shorts.

Have loved em since the day I bought them. I have crashed a couple times, and some times pretty hard (don't we all?). The gear has held up really well, especially considering I live in the desert and crashing out here is almost all on "kitty litter" and rocks.

    Love their stuff. Period.

Alpinestars & Troy Lee... the two only ways to fly.

I was super impressed by the Moab knee/shin guards. I had the Fox Launch but I didn't like the cross strap system so i took a chance on the Moabs. They are really great, stick out a bit on the knee when standing but after 7 hour park rides I never noticed they were on. Only draw back is the velcro placement. The rough part can touch the skin if not fastened perfectly but they are awesome and never slip.

i just bought a pair of moab gloves and my dad got the gravitys. really like them so far! fits great, padding is good and they breath well. cant comment on durability but it seems like the gravity is made out of tougher material but the moab is a little more breathable.
