I just wanted to give a shout-out to Northwave for taking care of me with some excellent customer service.
I have been using a pair of their Aerlite (sp?) shoes with the carbon soles for the last two years for racing cx and xc, and three weeks ago the instep strap broke where the ratchet strap attaches on one of the shoes during a race. I went into one of the local lbs's in my area and checked to see if they could order me some replacement parts (they carry Northwave) and they looked into it. Got a call back the next day to let me know that Northwave was going to send a replacement part free of charge.
Later that week I got a call notifying me the parts were in, and when I stopped by I found they had not only sent new instep straps, but the ratchet strap and new buckles for both shoes as well!
I read so many negative threads about products failing that I like to report out when a company goes above and beyond to care for their customers. Thanks Northwave!
