Longer Shorts W/ Cargo Pockets
I need some new synthetic baggies that are long enough so I don't have a gap above my knee pads and they have to have cargo pockets. I seem to always wear knee pads these days and I use the cargo pockets frequently. I don't need a liner because I normally wear bibs underneath but wouldn't eliminate those that come with. A nice breathable fabric would be a plus. Maybe I'm getting picky here but I prefer earth tones as well
I got some bad ideas in my head.

Endura - synthetic: Endura Hummvee Baggy Lite 3-4 Shorts inc. Liner | Chain Reaction Cycles
Fox - cotton: Fox Racing Demo Cargo Shorts | Chain Reaction Cycles
Both have liners, but I just take them out and throw them in the garbage.
These are cycle specific - once you start looking at climbing/hiking shorts made out of 4 way stretch fabrics you'll have loads more options that come without liners and often in muted colours.

+1 Endura Hummvee shorts, regular shorts are long enough though, they come past the knee while standing and stay about mid knee when pedaling, no need to get the knickers. Seriously the best shorts I have ever had, word of caution if ordering online, they run small, I had to size up and even then the fit was snug.

I rode in these sahara shorts for years, they are very light and airy, can easily be worn over a regular cycling short with liner

yup i 2nd the royal matrix. chk out dirt rag's site they were blowing some out, if you can handle a DR logo on your leg. they were black w/ grey pins, 5 pocket, & removable liner that isn't too bad.
just checked and sorry they are out.

Love my Endura Humvees. The only thing that I don't like about them is that the seam where the velcros is at the end just feels weird while pedaling, but if you're wearing knee pads, then it would be a moot point.
Another option would be the Funkier Hawk, which is kind of the same idea as the Endura. Neither are true "cargo" shorts, but both do have pockets on the side.
