    Lets talk about socks

Socks that are both wicking, light weight, cool, and water bomb proof (if you have to hike a bike through a river).. do they make such a monster?

I like merino wool. It does a really good job in a range of temperatures. I use the Smartwool stuff. If you aren't into the wool thing, then I have been really happy with UnderArmour socks. My feet naturally sweat a lot, and the UA stuff does a really good job of keeping my feet feeling dry.

    Lets talk about socks

I like Swiftwick socks. Both the synthetic and merino wools work well.

I second Darn Tough. I've had bad luck with Smartwool only lasting about a year. The Darn Tough have been used as much as the Smartwool and still look brand new, minus stains.

+1 for wool. Thin on the hot days, thick on the cold days.
