Lake MXZ 302 boots on sale

At Modern Bike for $199. I got a pair for $246 a while ago, which was a good price then.

Nice wide foot bed and fairly warm. Not fully waterproof, but a decent boot at a good price.

Price has gone up $20 but thanks for posting.

Anyone that has older Lake shoes needs to try these on before commiting. They have changed the footbed for some reason. I've been riding the MXZ 300 for years but I can't stand the 302. There's a ridge they added that rubs against the ball of my foot that's almost unbearable. Hopefully they fixed it in the newer 303. YMMV

Lake MXZ 302 boots on sale

I have an old pair of Lake MX 85 shoes, an old pair of the below-pictured mid-weight boots (no longer made; I don't know what model) and then a pair of the 302s. I didn't notice a change in the footbed, although there could be and I just haven't figured this out.

My only misgiving about the 302s is that they are not waterproof. Then again, they would probably cost a lot more if they were.
