    Hot Weather FF Helmet?

Looking to spend around/under $150 for a full face helmet. Do all types of riding but not a lot of superfast DH so would like good venting and lightweight. But I do plan on crashing so needs to protect my skull. I live in Arkansas so it gets pretty hot with most of summer over 90 and peaking in low 100's. I have 23" head also. What ya recommend?

Rode my 661 Comp in Moab yesterday. 101 degrees. It was hot, but bearable. I've also ridden it in Minnesota. In August. 90 degrees, 90% humidity. That wasn't fun.

    Hot Weather FF Helmet?

Unfortunately, $150 is kind of the low end of the range for full face helmets. You can definitely find some for that price, but they generally won't be particularly light or well vented. Sometimes you can find good sales. A year or so ago you could get a Kali Avatar for <$200, but I'm not sure what you can find these days.

I've had dental work resulting from a crash, but I really don't like wearing mine unless I'm headed downhill, or it's in the 40s. YMMV.

My Bell Drop has decent venting and is less than $150....
But my Kali Durgana has even better venting!

I recently purchased the Demon Podium Helmet. Sweet color design. Ended up going with the black. Took it for a spin in MOAB Utah and it did great. Super light weight and breathed pretty well. I bought it from for only 89.99!

I'm running the Urge Down-o-matic - very light, lots of venting and you can get for under $200 - I've seen their green colored scheme one go for $150. I've had a solid crash in it, and the helmet did its job. I find it fits good and is comfortable

    Good luck
