    Helmet - which size?

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm not very good with the search function sometimes. I've decided to buy myself a Bell Ghisallo, the thing is my size is 55cm whichever way I measure it and that's exactly on the boundary between S and M, so my question is should I go for the smaller size and risk a cramped helmet or go for M and risk a slightly loose fit ?

Go to your local lbs or some sort of sports department store and try it on before buying.

A lot of helmets have additional adjustments inside of the helmet that will make it fit a little better. So I'd personally go with the larger one if it does have these adjustments...instead of it being too small and uncomfortable.

Helmets also have different shapes. Bells tend to be more round where as Giro has more of an egg shape. I barely fit a large Giro but the Louis Garneau Fits perfectly even though the cm sizing on the 2 medium helmets is the same. Just lauched V2.0 with free shipping and low prices!
