    Helmet makes my forehead hurt

The problem I run into is salty sweat on the front pad of my helmet. I take my helmet off after a few hours of riding and my forehead will be kinda red and raw. I wear my helmet snug but not tight, it's not smashing my head but it's not bouncing around either. I've tried washing the padding out to no avail. Any tips or tricks? (Other than wearing a hat under the helmet)

    1. Wear a Halo type head band

    2. Get a less round, better fitting helmet.

I got one near the end of last season. You will not regret it, rode 18km over pretty tough terrain in 30 degrees celsius with no sweat in my eyes whatsoever.

Terry cloth headbands are great. I wear the thin, 2" wide ones under my helmet. They're much thinner than department store sweatbands, and very comfortable. Check eBay for good deals on packs of various colors.

+1 on the halo headbands..I wouldnt leave the parking lot without one...works like a charm...I wear glasses so I need it because of keeping the sweat off my glasses...I have used halo's for years.

I would suggest head butting a tree very hard for a few hours, this should destroy all the nerves in your forehead and you wont feel a thing from your helmet.
    cheers

Could using the key words "head butt" and "helmet" in one sentence draw the spambots attention?
