even in summer i stick with fullfinger gloves.
or no gloves.
common fingerless gloves are much more comfortbike oriented.
too much padding to get good feel of the bars.
maybe dh gloves with the fingers cut off could work.
but you'd look like a freak...

About the gloves... My sidewinders work pretty well. I haven't done a whole lot of hot weather riding with them but they're pretty breatheable.
I can testify about the sidewinders, well ventilated and have been riding in between 30 - 31 degrees Celsius (86 - 88 farenheit for our North American Cousins) kept my mitts cool as a cucumber although I has developed some funky tan lines
I was asked why I was still wearing full gloves in such heat on the local bike path, but he was riding a brakeless, clipless, lightless, bartape & plug free fixie while helmetless AND wearing thongs so to explain safety would be a fruitless endeavour for all parties concerned

I'm guessing he used the search function, which if he hadn't, he would've got yelled out for starting *another* glove thread. So, the options are:
1) Don't use search and start a new thread
2) Use search and add questions or comments to those threads
In any case, get chastised for either choice.
