    Gloves....

I need to get some new gloves and would like some suggestions. I am looking for something with good padding because I tend to put too much weight forward, half finger, and under $20.

I picked up a pair of these early in the season for $7.

All they have left are size S. I like them (especially for the price!) They're a little warm, but the padding and grip are great. And the terry cloth back is a great sweat wiper.

I figured as much. When I got them back in the spring, they had all the sizes. I was surprised actually to still see they had any left at that price.

But if you can find them elsewhere get 'em.

The Pearl Izumi Gel Lites are nice but they are over $20. You can get them on sale in the mid to high 20's sometimes.

I used to put a lot of pressure on my hands as I prop myself up at the handlebar when I ride. It gave me numb hands and stiff shoulders. Recently I was told to hold myself up more with my "core". Basically it means use your stomach muscles to hold your position.

It's not easy to do at first but you get used to it. You put a lot less pressure on the hands which eliminates tension and your balance/control is better too because your weight is more centered on the bike.

I've seen Fox Mojave's (what I use and love) going for that here and there.

Guess I'm a traditionalist and like the crochet back. Nice and cool and comfy.
