    gearing for winter

Living in Houston area, so I'm not likely to ride much below 50. Looking to ID the best setup at a reasonable price (don't ask me, I'll just know it when I total the options).

I have a pair of baggy shorts with compression liner sewn-in. I was thinking that I could add midthigh leggings and cover up with rain pants if conditions warrant (like not trying to freak out my female coworkers when I take the bike to work ). But I also have some good tights (unpadded) from my roadie days, so maybe a new set of shorts without the liner worn over the tights?

I think I'm good topwise with performance T's both short and long sleeve, and a lightweight performance fleece and rainjacket. I guess I may want some full finger gloves as I tend to have cold hands to begin with.

    Thoughts?

Haha....wow... It has been colder than that here recently and apart from a pull over jacket to take away some of the wind chill and keep off the rain I have been riding in the same gear as summer.. This ride was in sub 50's just over a week ago.... haha....

But Tenn Outdoors do some nice stuff for cooler weather rides..
