New question here. Full Face Helmet for XC??

I was trying to find a full face helmet that I could use for general XC use and some DH.

I like the MET Parachute but thats only available overseas. And I like the Giro Switchblade but I cant find anyone who is selling it these days besides ebay - and they only pop up seldomly on ebay.

Any other suggestions? Anything new out?

I don't think a full 661 Comp or Giro Mad Max would be good for me because they are generally hotter right? Not suitable for epic type riding or am I mistaken?

    Thanks in advance.

I don`t recomend any full face helmet for XC riding. Its literally a pain in the neck.
I ocsionally ride downhill and always wear a full face... and i have been in several crashes were i would have really hurt myself pretty badly if i didnt have wore one.

But i have had hundreds of bails of all sorts XC riding and i have never needed anything more than a regular helmet. I even fell of a cliff once and landed on rocks... and crashed headfirst ito tree once. But XC speeds aren`t comparable to downhill speeeds or stunts.

Ridisng with a full face will hurt your riding, your neck, and make it really hot and why would you do that if there are lots and lots of unexpensive helmets to use ewhen riding xc besides your full face?
A lot of people who trail ride or ride agressive all mountain ride with both helmets in the same ride one for going up and one for going down.
Lesson of the month: Don`t run of a cliff on your Mountain Bike. It`s quite painful.
