    Favorite XC Shorts

    What are your fav XC shorts? Why?

    I want to get a new pair this season and need ideas.

    Currently I have Fox ones , not sure which model but they are a few years old and more like a freeride pant than XC.

    Thanks

    Jett Gear Raptor

    2012 Raptor Short - Closeouts

    Jett Gear Hornet

    2012 Hornet Short - Closeouts

    Coupon code: JETTCASH20 ($20 off $100). Shipping about $12 flat.

    I believe Jett Gear makes the nicest shorts out there. These come with liners that have pads which rival midrange spandex shorts too, to add to the value. Research them... I'd have a wall of text if I explained why they're my fav shorts. A lot of thought went into making these shorts. I personally like the Hornets better, since they have a longer inseam, which goes better with knee pads. The Raptor is more XC, while the Hornet is more trail/AM.

    I like Royal Racing shorts, they have a removable liner so no chaffing.

    I'm not sure how one differentiates between "XC" and "AM" baggies. Is it the boldness of the colors and patterns? Some sort of retro plaid?

    Really happy with my Jett Raptors. Fox shorts always seem to fit me well too.

    I thought everyone knew that shorts were color-coded by disipline.

    Black = XC
    Gray = AM
    Olive = DJ
    Plaid = DH
    Pinstripes = Freeride
