Favorite winter gloves...not bulky

What is everyone's favorite? Was thinking something from Specy or maybe the Pearl Cyclones.

You should give us a temperature. Your winter might be different from ours.

Mid-Atlantic..cold is in the 30s-low 40s. I don't ride in the rain/snow.

At those temperatures you'll have lots of options. It's when you ride in worse weather things get tricky.
I wear these at the low end of your scale. Hot Paws

or Pearl Izumi Amfib or Lobster style gloves.

and I wear Rapha gloves at the upper end of your weather. They're not on their website right now. I think those Cyclones will work for you unless other guys say they suck.

I was pleasantly surprised with my new gloves from Sports Authority. I used to consider my old Pearl Izumi snow gloves to be the best, well they still are, but they cost a bit. The Slalom snowboard/ski gloves from SA are actually pretty close and only $19. No extra around the fingertips to mess with the shifters and still plenty warm in a 33 degree ride home in the wind today.

Usually I can get away with my regular gloves *Spec. LoDown* at those temps but sometimes I use these if the wind chill makes it below freezing or if it gets really cold out 25F and below.

Winter riding gloves?

I love my Hestra Windstopper Tracker gloves. They are not bulky at all and have good bar feel while still being exceptionally warm in your temperature range.

What I find works for me is layering. My hands sweat like crazy during the summer, so I use the lightest gloves possible then. In winter, though cold at first, once my hands warm up they're pretty good. That being said I usually wear my regular summer gloves, which are very thin and not bulky, with another glove as a shell on top. Generally a knit-style glove. Often, I'll even remove the shell glove mid-ride if hands are warm enough - to avoid sweating. Moisture not good in winter rinding. If you're riding in the 20's, you may need additional neoprene glove liners. However, I've found that in the mid 30's and 40's they're fantastic.

I've absolutely loved every article I've ever purchased from Pearl. They make top notch stuff.

At 30-40 degrees I'd recommend the soft shell lite glove above until you are warmed up, then switch to something uninsulated.

NEVER ride in the cold with just one pair of gloves... And best to switch before you start sweating so you can keep the warmer pair in reserve.
