    DIRT MERCHANT helmet cam

some more footy of my homie following me down dirt merchant at whistler. this is pretty much all of the run until it hooks up with A-line. it's crazy how dirt merchant is pretty much the easiest run up there, but you get to catch the most air. the intermediate runs, like b-line, were all blown out and you would have to use your brakes way too much--and it would tire you out. not that it's a particularly good run anyway. but, the merchant, no brakes, no pedalling, just good times. we would try and ride other runs as much as we could, but it's too easy to just go ride the merchant.

Dirt Merchant to Aline was one of my favorite runs at Whistler. Those big hip lines are so fun.

Edit: Sweet vid. Makes me wanna go back to Whizzler so bad.

First off, that was an awesome video!

Second, is there any way of downloading videos off of putfile???? It seems like there have been a good number of videos posted there and I'd like to watch them at my leisure.

yo Ho! any chance you could post (or email me) mpeg, avi, or wav files on these? I know putfile will only have em for so long and Id love to keep them on my hardrive. The one thing I wished Id have done in Whistler was a helmet cam so this is the next best thing to having taken them myself. Lemme know, thanks much!

    helmet camera set-up

all these vids were shot with my sportzshot.com helmet cam. the complete set up is 350, but then you got to get the one-buton remote--which is another 50. the resolution with the sportzshot is better than viosport and others. my dv cam is a sony pc-109. it's small, cheap, and works. btw, pretty much only cannons and sonys work with the helmet cameras.

where else can i post these vids other than putfile? for free that is. i could email you guys a vid if you want. just let me know what one.

check out this vid. it's not biking, but at times it's way better.

Dude - just got back from Whistler and the North Shore! Dirt Merchant to A-Line was by far my favorite run! You guys are awesome riders! Not saying your footage is bad (it kicks a$$!) but the camera perspective does not do the terrain justice! It's totally different in person and judging by the tricks and hang time - you guys were going BIG! That gapper on the right side of the trail toward the end looks super short but we all know it's 10 feet!

That was an awesome video and I'd love to have a copy by email if that's alright with you!

    Dave.

No, unfortunately the closest place that has any terrain is Whistler... its pretty much one of a kind. Go up there for a week and ride North Shore too.
