    Armor question...

Hey DH'er's- I need some help with the body armor market. I sustained a very serious shoulder injury a few months ago after being hit, high speed, by a car on the road bike. I'm hoping to be able to adapt some form of DH armor so that I can wear ONLY the protection on my left shoulder area when I start riding again- there's a plate holding my clavicle together and anchoring it to the joint that will need extra protection. Any set-ups that are comfortable and easy to adapt so could wear one arm only? I'm primarily an aggressive XC rider who lives in a hot area with lots of climbing, so don't really want to wear the full kit o' protection. Any advice welcomed. Thanks, Mike

    Tough one.
I've started using an MX chest protector with floating shoulder guards for pretty much the same reason. I suppose you could bisect one, but you might look like something out of Willy Wonka's office.

Mx Gaurds are sh*t man, dont do that. go with a full jacket and take the stuff off that you dont want. The MX guards or "roost" vests are for deflecting rocks and what not and will not stay in place if you fall.
