661 Helmet - better to buy big or small?

So I just placed an order for a 661 Comp Shifted Helmet.

However, I am totally on the fence about what size I should have ordered.

So sizing for 661 helmets is

    small: 21.25 - 22"
    medium: 22 - 22.75"

Of course, my head circumference is exactly 22".

Is it better to air on the side of snug or air on the side of loose fit?

Neither. Find the model that fits your head.

The circumference does not tell you the shape of your head or the helmet. A "round" 22" helmet is never going to fit an "oval" 22" head.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
