Yeti SB66 with 36 Talas RC2 FIT 140-180? Good or bad idea

Would it work? I am wondering if I should be looking for Float with 150mm travel or I can make Talas 140-180 works.

if you have the 180 i guess you can make it work but i think it would be smarter to get a 160 talas.

Yeah I have Talas RC2 Fit Talas 140-180. I can run it at 140 I guess. Just don't want to spend the money for new fork. I know the bike was design for 150 or 160mm.

From what I have read it has only 2 settings 140 or 180mm I might just run it at 140mm it is as close to 150 as it gets.

you could always convert it to a float and then set the travel at water ever you want.

It may not be "ideal" but run it and see how you like it.. I run my Lyrik at 170 on my 66 and I like the way it rides, It doesnt really wander when climbing and I like the little bit slacker HA.. Slam your stem, and see how you like it before you go running off to buy a new fork or send it off somewhere..

You do have the Talas, so you have the nice option of dropping it for the climbs and then running it in full monster truck mode for descending..
