Would you recommend Mavic crossmax SLfor light AM?

    Hi,
I want to buy a set of Mavic Crossmax for my bike. I ride single tracks with rocky/clay/sand surface. I'm not an agressive rider and i weight 66kg, would these set of wheels handle?
    Thanks

Well, being a non-aggresive rider, would you consider yourself a XC rider?
While I don't mean any offense with this, sure they will handle.
Don't try jumping or dropping too often with those wheels though.

EDIT: are you talking about the ST's? cause I didn't know there were so many Crossmax's out there

I'm sure they would work fine but thats alot of coin for a set of trail wheels. I would save those for race day and buy a more durable set for every day use.

I do the most, 2ft drops as i'm just a beginner and still scare of falling, im neither planning to do 5ft drops anyway

It's not so much how high you drop from, it's how smoothly you do it. Someone could taco a fairly strong wheel with a 2ft drop, someone could drop 5ft suprisingly smoothly.

I wouldn't do it. I ran mine for a awhile and they always needed to get trued after awhile. An then I bent the rim on the front. Now they are on the wifes bike. A better bet would be 819's (bombproof) or Flows (just got it but like it) on a set of Hope or King hubs.
