    Trek Ex 5 2011 or Turner 5.spot 2007

    Hi guys,

Im looking for a full suspension bike for my father (60 years old), we both practicing mainly XC (we both have a hardtail bike), but nowadays, we are making some technical trails and some long routes. And my experience with my Orbea Occam is awesome in these paths. I have two offers for the same price, one is a Trek EX5 '11 and the other is a Turner 5.spot 2007. What do you think is a better option? Both bikes are in a really good condition.

I say the trek just because it's newer and will have newer components(better technology)

I wish it were a Trek EX 7 or above (preferably 8 or 9); then I'd unequivocally say the newer Trek. But since it's a 5, I'm not so sure.

The only drowback of this bike is the fork! All the others components are great !Oh and the tora isn't so bad. Furthermore you can upgrade to a sektor with only 300-350 euros!

Hi there. I was almost decided for the trek. But today, a guy of my team has offer me a kona 2+2 DL 2011 bought in 2012 for 350 bucks more. I think it's a better option, isn't? It's equipped with fox fit remote, trasmission xt an easton wheels. The only drowback is the travel, rear an front is 100 mm, and the magic link, that is a very tiny information.

    Cheers

Two entirely different bikes. One is a XC/Trail bike...the other is strictly Trail(Turner). If your pops value comfort - get the Spot. If he wants a lighter rig that climbs well...go for the Trek.

Guys, in the end i choose kona 2+2. It's the one with shorter travel, but it has the best components. I share a photo. Many Thanks for your comments.. Cheers!!
